Why I wrote this book

We live in a world that moves fast — so fast that we often forget to slow down and connect with what truly matters. This book is an invitation to pause, breathe, and remember that love isn't something you have to earn or chase. It's already here, in the tiny moments we so often overlook.

Through 130+ original ink drawings, honest storytelling, and spaces to write your own reflections, I guide you on a practical journey back to yourself. It's simple, it's gentle, and it's designed so you can pick it up wherever you are and take one tiny step forward.

I combined storytelling, coaching, spirituality, and science into something I wish I'd had when I needed it most. Not a quick fix — a voyage of wellbeing you can hold in your hands, scribble in, and make entirely yours.

Indigo Violet — Mikyla's ink-drawn muse

Indigo Violet — my muse

Ink drawing of connected hearts

Meet Indigo Violet

I created Indigo Violet with my ink pen. She's my muse — cheeky and a little seductive — and she appears in over 130 drawings throughout the book. Every chapter begins with her, illustrating the topic and keeping things uplifting and calming.

She's the kind of character who says the thing you needed to hear with a knowing smile. Part guide, part provocateur — she makes the journey feel less like homework and more like a conversation with a friend who won't let you take yourself too seriously.

What's inside

130+ original ink drawings

I drew every illustration by hand — they bring each concept to life visually and help pace the reading experience. Perfect for visual learners and anyone who benefits from seeing as well as reading.

Spaces to journal

This is your book to scribble in. Gentle prompts and open pages invite you to test techniques, record what works, and create a personal record of your journey.

Neurodiversity-friendly design

Built to British Dyslexia Association guidelines — accessible fonts, generous spacing, tinted pages, and short chapters. Designed for anyone who struggles with concentration, including those with ADHD, autism, or mental exhaustion.

Your Life Manual

The final chapter guides you in creating your own personalised aide-mémoire — a collection of the techniques that work best for you, so progress continues long after the last page.
