WELCOME TO
The Company Of Smiles
Creating connections between people and life
Empowering people who aren’t a natural fit with standard education
- To access their potential
- To live a life of ease
- To connect with the company of smiles
Coaching and mentoring with a difference

- I don’t just talk, I do.
- I’m an experienced Outdoor Leader, self-sufficiency expert and artist.
- Coaching happens through conversation, creativity and shared practical activities.
Young People and School’s Support Programme:
- Young person support – to connect, or reconnect with education. I work with the young people who don’t fit, who’s potential is often missed, who are in danger of being left behind. They may be struggling, disengaged, or EBSAs (Emotionally Based School Avoiders).
- Parents and carers programme – to connect with your resilience and the child you love. I work with the exhausted and overwhelmed, to help you see a way through, to learn new tools, to leave with optimism
- Teachers and professionals – to connect the pieces of the puzzle. I facilitate joined up thinking and working, helping build strategies to work holistically, benefitting both pupils in need, and their mainstream peers.

‘[The workshop] was so well led! You gave enough structure to not leave us floundering, but not too much that it trapped us, or pushed us into corners.’
- (Adam M)

- (Mary D)
‘We’ll miss your vibrant energy’

Reviews:
‘I really enjoyed how engagingly this book is written. It invites you in in many different ways. I especially liked the artwork and the regular prompts to reflect and digest what you’ve just read’ – (Jibbs, Amazon)
‘I like the way the author connects herself in a very personal way to the reader. She presents the roller coaster and challenges of real life in a way that makes you feel like you’re not alone and there’s a way forward. Presenting her own life experience, with the occasional hint of humour, in order to help others’ – (Claire C, Amazon)
I read it and did most of the activities. I am trying to do the practices every day. Very useful insightful book with different techniques for a positive outlook – (Kate, Goodreads)
Speaker

I am available for inspirational and motivation speaking for audiences seeking a better, more collaborative, kinder world. As a writer and educator, I have a natural curiosity for new learning and experiences, readily connecting with people from many sectors, particularly sectors where neurotypical is not typical.
‘What a fresh, motivational and engaging session you delivered – crammed with thought provoking and practical ideas. You were – and are – brilliant’ – (Joanna Kidd, Salon Smart)
Artist

Much to the amusement of my family, I can’t leave home without a notebook, pen, sketch pad and drawing inks. My muse continues to be a character called ‘Indigo Violet’ who climbed out of my sketch book during lock-down.
I use my art to connect with others, to communicate information and to sooth my soul. I challenge myself to draw every day.
